Sometimes, far away just isn’t far enough. For those days, we offer completely customizable tours and day trips by air.

Leave directly from Bear Claw by helicopter or from nearby Elizabeth Lake by float plane. We’re happy to help you tailor the perfect experience, whether it’s an hour in the air, a cold drink on a glacier, or a flight to Alaska just for the day.

Float plane trips are available in a Cessna 185 capable of carrying three passengers, or a Turbo Otter capable of seating nine. Leaving from beautiful Elizabeth Lake, the options are too numerous to list. You can pop up to a high-elevation lake for lunch or fly all the way to the coast. If there’s water, our pontoons can take you there. And lucky for us, there is no shortage of that up here.

There are almost no limits to what you can do with a helicopter up here. A 10-hour hike to a peak becomes a brief flight, and a casual walk at elevation lets you focus on spotting the resident mountain goats and other wildlife. Lunch can consist of a picnic at a glacier with blue ice clinking around in your cold glass. It truly is the fastest and most exciting way to get way out there—and back in time for dinner.
